A lovely short book. Most impressive in the way the narration shifts with the protagonist’s age and perspective, and how it speeds up or slows down to reflect the content of the story - particularly the way it depicts the experience of dancing. Reminiscent of Ferrante’s Neapolitan novels in tone and theme. Recommended!
