Loose and meandery, not as stunning as [b:Just Kids|341879|Just Kids|Patti Smith|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1259762407l/341879._SY75_.jpg|332242], but Smith is a great writer so any time spent with her is good. Interesting to see her through this text as both a punk-poet legend and a pleasant older woman who spends a lot of time by herself, traveling or watching detective shows.
