Rated My Year of Rest and Relaxation 10/10

Read this in a couple of very weird sittings and loved it. It's the most engaging book imaginable about a protagonist who spends most of her time asleep. The narrator, a young woman without much in her life that interests her, decides to "hibernate," aided by a prodigious amount of prescription medication.

This will not be to everyone's taste - it is very odd and like Moshfegh's earlier novel [b:Eileen|23453099|Eileen|Ottessa Moshfegh|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1479545528s/23453099.jpg|43014905] it requires you to spend a lot of time inside the head of a not-especially-pleasant character who doesn't have a conventional mindset about interacting with the outside world. But I thought it was a real knockout.
