Rated Ancillary Justice 6/10

This is more like a strong-3/soft-4 rating. A very inventive and engaging sci-fi that kind of gets caught up in its own cleverness and doesn't quite stick the landing. If, like me, you are really interested in the political structures of a fictional world, you're in luck with this one. All of the worldbuilding and action sequences and relationships are very strong and detailed, and the author pulls off present and past timelines quite well. One downside is that it's part of a trilogy and definitely feels that way - it does come to an ending, but one that opens the door to the subsequent books to answer more questions, and I'm not quite on-board enough with this one to rush to read books 2 and 3 right away.
