A really terrific, creepy, convincing and sad dystopia. Reminiscent of [b:Station Eleven|20170404|Station Eleven|Emily St. John Mandel|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1451446835s/20170404.jpg|28098716] in that it switches back and forth between the time before and the time after a pandemic causes societal collapse; if you liked that one you'll like this too. Easy to engage with as a gripping sci-fi, but it also suggests a critique of global capitalism and the American workplace without being blunt about it.
