Rated Born Standing Up: A Comic's Life 8/10

Slight but enjoyable autobiography of Steve Martin, focusing on his stand-up career in the 60s and 70s. A handful of laugh-out-loud bits, but warm and engaging throughout, though it definitely helps to be at least a little bit of a fan. There's a little bit of the "...and here's how I met [X]," which is obligatory in famous people's autobiographies, but that stuff is pretty fun. The insight into the process of creating comedy and the weirdness of life on the road was particularly meaningful to me. Reads really fast.
