Rated The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism 6/10

It's a very difficult book to rate. In a well-research journalist investigation tone, it uncovers shocking atrocity of neo-liberal economic policies implemented around the world by the Washington consensus institutions, MNCs and the US government. These are all important stories to know, especially you one is delusional about the effects of globalization, free trade and freedom wars. Though the disgust and despair I felt while reading it was so high, that I had to take few days long breaks from the book. In a way, the book uses the same methods of shock terror on the reader that it describes is used by the disaster capitalists on the public.
