Rated Lifespan: Why We Age―and Why We Don't Have To 8/10
The scientific part of the book is just thrilling. I'm quite convinced that increase in health and life span beyond current 80+ years to 100 or even 120 years will happen and probably sooner than most people imagine. I was quite troubled though by the ethical part of the book. My optimism fails me to blindly trust humanity to overcome whatever socioeconomic crisis increased longevity–that Sinclair acknowledged as inevitable–is going to cause. Black Swan theory of Nassim Taleb comes to mind, as well as economists' mantra "past performance is no guarantee of future returns". So, I'm both excited and scared by the prospects of what longevity research will bring.

On the practical side, eating healthy, exercising and being exposed to mild stress sounds like a good advice in general. Not sure if I start taking metformin, NMN and resveratrol every morning just yet.
