Seeing this in the theater for the first time was one of my favorite movie experiences of all time. It was my first semester of college in '94, and all the kids in my dorm were going to see this movie, and they wanted to know if I wanted to go, too. "It's the same guy who did Reservoir Dogs!", they said, but I didn't know that movie yet. It was a Sunday matinée, however, and students got half off, so why not? Had zero idea what it was about, or what I was getting myself into. Came out seeing things in a whole new light. It's hard to put into context just how different this film was at the time; there really was nothing else like it. Shortly, however, everything else was trying to be it. A truly landmark event.
