Rated Strange Days 8/10

Under rated cyberpunk noir classic. I love the look and feel of this version of the future. Like, it's the future, but still a very aggressively 90s future. Excellent use of my favorite dead media, the minidisc, too. This has me wondering what Bigelow's career would have looked like if she hadn't cozied up so much to the US military, and made more sci-fi action like this (though that probably would have pitted her against her ex, James Cameron, too often). The solving of the whodunnit part of the film is kind of lackluster, but at least it's a wild ride to get there. Also, can we hear it for Angela Basset's guns? Devastating gun show. No survivors left.
