Rated The Long Goodbye 7/10

So, we all love watching Elliot Gould roll around 70's L.A., rattling off one liners and generally being the coolest cat in the room, wherever he is. That's the main draw of this movie. Can we also admit that the actual mystery is not unraveled for us in a particularly tidy fashion? Like, I had to look up a synopsis in order to figure out exactly what the deal was, and that doesn't say much for the exposition. But, I have to assume that's not what most people are watching this movie for. No one really cares whodunnit. We like the ride more than the destination, and at least it's a fun ride.
