In my opinion, the first hour and a half of this movie is rather unremarkable. We get your standard set up for what must be accomplished by the protagonist, and then we get a standard odyssey from point A to point B. The last half hour once they get to B, however, finally gets to the real meat of the story, and makes things much more interesting. I'm glad for the meaty bits, and I think it ends it well, but I just wish the rest of it was as good.
