Having now watched both this and Wages of Fear, I can say that WoF's strength is its characters. Sorcerer is all about the gritty realism, and the great cinematography. Some real top notch explosions, too. I will say, though, it is pretty disappointing how it only goes into depth with the backstories of two of the four drivers, the other two get a cursory introduction. Also curious how it happens to only give the extra attention to the two white guys. This also means that this movie lacks a similar relationship between Jackie and Nilo, like WoF did with Mario and Mr Jo. That was a let down for me, as it was one of the more engaging parts of WoF. Despite this, I think both movies are definitely worth a watch.
