Rated Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters 8/10

A beautiful film, in both cinematography and score. Really stunning. Yet it falls victim to the common biopic folly of assuming the audience is already well versed in the subject's history, and doesn't bother with any explanations. Instead, it blends the facts and fiction together to show how his life was intertwined with his works. Artistically brilliant, but if you came here looking to learn about Mishima, you will probably leave more confused than informed. Therefore, I'd recommend reading his Wikipedia page before jumping into this one, just so you have a bit of ground to stand on.
