Best visuals from a movie this year, so far. Had me strong at the beginning, kind of lost me midway, but I think it ended on a good note? I have a feeling that I shouldn't be trying so hard to make the middle part make sense, and that just accepting it would probably yield more satisfaction, but it was still really far out in left field there for a bit. All in all, an ambitious film that makes it 75% of the way home. Maybe one day Boots Riley will figure out how to hit 100%.
