Probably 3.5 stars. I guess, after the build up of Parker vs. The Outfit, anything less than amazing would feel like a letdown. My main problem with this book is that it was too short. Everything seemed to fall into place too easily, and it just seemed like a very quick way to end a feud that was central to the book.

That said, it isn't a BAD book. I always get a kick out of the Parker and Handy show. Bronson is a bad guy that makes you wonder how he ever rose to his position in the first place. He seems almost incompetent, and not worthy of Parker's time. Parker's genius in setting up his colleagues in hitting Outfit spots is the highlight of the book for me. That seemed the most well thought out and well executed of the plan. The rest of it seemed rushed and almost inconsequential. A necessary book, but not necessarily the best of the series.
