Honestly struggled to maintain a connection with this movie.  The first scene was oddly charismatic since it was a one on one interview but that highlights how well Blanchet captured this character. As the film/story progressed, it was increasingly jumbled. Bouncing between Berlin and New York did the film no favors. Much of the story was progressing off camera. We get updates here and there so the through line was muddled. That being said this character needed to be heard but it was like Tar was unable to ever find the right audience. A point that was beautifully articulated in the last scene.  My major issue was the dissonance between the dialogue volume and the orchestra volume. I had to constantly and drastically adjust the volume between scenes. Not sure if that was intentional in hopes of emphasizing the music but it certainly annoyed this viewer.
