Rated Knock at the Cabin 6/10

Quite the thought exercise. Blends elements of religious zealotry, skepticism, belief, love, hate, progressiveness and presents it all as a “prisoner’s dilemma”.  M.Night struggles with convincing dialogue in his movies and this was no exception.  Difficult to maneuver in this cabin with so many characters and concepts that a few get lost in the shuffle. However I admire the humility of the 1:40 runtime.  Unfortunately felt like it rushed to the ending, complete with some spoon fed exposition to tie up any possible loose ends. I think it would have benefited from the more ambiguous ending from its source material.  Dave Bautista was magnificent, proving that his acting can do the same heavy lifting as his impressive physical stature.
