Rated American Fiction 7/10

A great satirical and a great facial story with a touch of relationship/rom com story.  However, there in lies the problem. The movie's tone was off. It was funny, smart, engaging but almost randomly shifting to satire undercuts those concepts.  Obviously it becomes what it satirizes like most satires do but you basically give up on each relationship because of it.  The acting was top notch, especially Jeffrey Wright, who deserved his Oscar nomination.
