Rated Escape from the 21st Century 7/10

A fun romp. However, between the mid-point and the conclusion got too murky, story wise. I was always going to have a steeper learning curve with the subtitles/translations, but I definitely got lost making the connections with the female "big bad". Enjoyed the movie, especially early on. Don't think the resolution matched the enthusiasm of the beginning. Much of the film seemed to pattern itself after "Scott Pilgrim vs The World" in applying cartoon concepts to real life. Loved the colorful visualizations and the unexpected comedy.
