This review may contain spoilers. Okay, so this is the first movie I watched as part of Letterboxing Match. It starts really slow, the scenes in Qatar are interesting but a lot of the establishing stuff with Sam is cringe and hard to focus on. Bumblebee being a wingman was hilarious though. The second half is where it really shines, with a lot of action set pieces. You can't fault Michael Bay for that, he knows how to do those. The product placement was a little wild in this film though. They say 'eBay' six times, which is way too many. Also, killing Megatron and destroying the All Spark in the first movie is a wild decision. Like, really not leaving much material for the sequel there. It's a little sus that the only Autobot that died is Jazz, who's black-coded. But overall, I enjoyed it. Bumblebee's still my favorite of the main Autobots, but everyone had a good chance to shine. PS: Putting my favorite band (Linkin Park) in the ending is a bit tonally off, but it made me smile, so I'll let it slide.
