Might be best described as poetic essays. 240 "postulates", some a sentence, and some a page. Seemingly a color study of what and how a color, blue, can means. The author's own story, emotion and asides are a prominent and important part of this. Sometimes she is pretty explicit, other times gentle. Ideas, facts, and histories are woven and braided together with seeming ease, which in writing is never actually easy to do.
