Rated Kung Fu Panda 2 8/10

This is my third time watching this film and the first time in two years. I honestly like it even more on my third viewing than my previous ones. In the past, I saw it as a "very good" movie, but now I'm moving it up to the "masterpiece" tier. Honestly, the biggest reason why, and I know it sounds stupid, but, is because I never felt the need to check social media even once. Seriously. The list of films that do that to me is quite small, and is an accomplishment. The animation is still some of the best in any animated film I've seen. The writing is as close to perfect as any writing can be. It's emotional and serious when it needs to be, and lightens the mood when it needs to. Never did the jokes seem to ruin serious moments, and the movie blindsided you with serious moments either. Each was built up properly, effortlessly transitioning into each other so expertly that you don't even realize how the emotions transition until you're reflecting after the movie. Those are just the things that stuck the most out to me, but other things such as the film score were superb (even if there aren't any real stand-out songs, in my opinion), and the editing and transitions seemed flawless.
