I'm going to be honest: this movie was forgettable. After "Going My Way" (the first film of the duology) and hearing that this movie was even better, I was looking forward to seeing this. "Going My Way" was better. I'm struggling to remember much from this movie. It's fine, but it's too similar story-wise to "Going My Way," and with less interesting characters. It feels almost like a remake with how similar in story it is. Father O'Malley goes to some run-down Catholic place that's about to be torn down and has to help redeem some overly-conservative leader of it. Meanwhile, there's a romantic side story that has it's turning point with a song sung by O'Malley telling them what to do. Don't get me wrong, this is still a good film, but ultimately it's forgettable. 3.5/5 = Pretty good
