Rated Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 6/10

My god Gore Verbinski has an eye for amazing shots. The guy really is a master with the camera. That said, a master of pacing he is not. It takes 45 minutes for this movie to get going. All the multiple Jack Sparrow stuff is weird and feels out of place. The story is a convoluted mess, I still cannot figure who is on what side due to the ridiculous amount of changing sides and back-stabbing going on. That said, Elizabeth Swann cements herself as the most badass character in the trilogy. Especially the "What will we die for" speech before the final battle. My god, I feel chills everytime I hear that speech, especially with the score in the background. Easily one of the greatest battle speeches in a movie ever. The beginning scene is so chilling and well-done. Definitely one of the best opening scenes I have seen. Hans Zimmer really stepped his game up in this one. The score is quite good in this one. The final battle is so epic it honestly made up for how convoluted the story is and how long it took for it to really get started. I may not like wedding scenes in movies, but the wedding scene during the battle was amazing and definitely the only movie wedding I enjoy and really added a lot to the movie and the battle. 3/5 = Decent
