Rated Yankee Doodle Dandy 8/10

In my opinion, this is the best musical I have ever seen. The music is absolutely fantastic (not surprising considering that they're the most famous songs by George M. Cohan, who this movie is about), the acting is on point and James Cagney is so memorable in his role as Cohan. The characters are loveable and you learn to really care for them and root for them. The movie is so upbeat and positive and really makes you feel good at the end. Every time I see this movie I end it with a smile on my face, which I can't say for any other movie. That is just how positive this film is. Anyway, I love it and if you love musicals this is a must-watch. 4/5 = Very good
