Rated Kung Fu Panda 3 8/10

After rewatching the second film, I wasn't sure if this would remain the film I considered the best of the trilogy, and as it turns out: yes, it would. Now, mind you, I don't think it's all that much superior, but I do think it is. Let me explain why: I find it more emotionally satisfying than KFP2 and enjoy its animation more. Plus, the story meant more to me, someone who has regularly struggled with similar thoughts. Then, I enjoyed the film score more than the previous two films, as in, I can actually remember songs from it while I can't from the first two. The only thing I prefer from KFP2 over this, and the thing that keeps KFP3 from being a 5/5 is this: the villain isn't the greatest. Kai is a fine villain, he's good, but he's nothing great. He's no Lord Shen. Far from it. Still fine, but ultimately a disappointment, especially compared to what came before. But, it's not enough for me to rank it lower than KFP2. 4/5 = Masterpiece
