Rated The Emperor's New Groove 6/10

I'll be honest, I feel this is a film that is most meaningful when you saw it first as a child. I, unfortunately, saw it first as a twenty-five-year-old adult, twenty-four years later. The reason I say this is that this film leans hard on comedy, and frankly: it's more suited to children, because honestly, I've seen far funnier. If I had seen this as a child, I probably would've thought this was the funniest thing I had ever seen, and would have carried those memories into adulthood. But, that's not what happened. As it was, I enjoyed it. It's a decent movie, and I did laugh at times, but, I didn't find it as funny as its lovers claim it is. The characters were great, the development of Kuzco was fantastic, the animation was top-notch, and was well-paced. I can't find anything worth complaining about, apart from personally not finding it to be as funny as its reputation suggests. 3/5 = Decent
