The movie is a kind of flashback through the main character’s life before his death. The dancing was good, and there were some interesting artistic choices. Overall, though, I disliked the way it handled racial dynamics, especially how raceplay was used in the narration. Even if (or maybe especially because of it) the film is presented as a set of subjective memories, the fetishizing way the main character recalls his past relationship with a Black man made me uncomfortable. Otherwise, it mostly follows familiar tropes common in gay movies.
